As a teenager, I had the unique experience of living in an adult family home with my parents. I was surrounded by older adults who became like additional grandparents to me, and I saw firsthand how much kindness, patience, companionship, and a true sense of home can mean as we age.

That experience stayed with me. I later spent several years working in assisted living, where my desire to care for older adults only grew stronger. Cristian came from a construction background, and together we dreamed of creating something that combined both of our strengths—a beautiful, comfortable home where exceptional care could be provided in a truly personal way.

That dream became Brookhaven Adult Family Home.

We wanted Brookhaven to feel different from a large facility. We wanted it to feel like home—a place where meals are home-cooked, people gather together for a movie or a game, laughter is welcome, and each resident is known as an individual. Most importantly, we wanted families to know that when someone they love comes to live with us, they become part of our Brookhaven family too.

As parents ourselves, family is at the center of our lives, and we understand how difficult and emotional it can be to trust someone else with the care of a person you love. It is a responsibility we never take lightly.
